Please note this is a weekly gig, so why not leave a Tuesday evening free and have a few drinks at Stingi Lulu's, next to the Royal Cornwall Museum, River Street, Truro.

Stingi Lulu's is a resteraunt and bar facility, which serves a wide range of food and drink, predominantly Japanese, Thai and Indonesian dishes.

Desafinado have been asked to provide entertainment for a 3 hour period, playing next to the open kitchen area in full view of all diners. Our music ranges from well known contemporary swing jazz to jazz-funk and bosanova. We are currently working on our own compositions, including Desasamba, which recently featured in Rhythm Magazine.

Desafinado regularly join in the jam session here fortnightly. Please come along, bring an instrument and join in, or just watch and have a drink!

Background information on Desafinado:

For those who don't know, as our website is currently being serviced, Desafinado is a jazz quartet with Fizz Turner as a vocalist, Fred Brown on Keyboard, James Dalton on alto and tenor saxophone, and Steve Beynon on Drums. We have recently aquired a new bassist, AJ Brinkman, who definitely adds colour to our music. With the exception of AJ, all members attend Truro School 6th form in Cornwall, UK. We have been together for a couple of years now, and look forward to many more fun and interesting gigs.
